Fresh Picked Lavender Meets a Patron Bottle

patronLucky me when I came across some patron bottles at a garage sale. Prior to this I was unfamiliar with empty Tequila bottles and their many uses. The bottle is a great shape, and how could I go wrong for a buck apiece. My lavender was in bloom and thus my first Patron bottle creation!  It won’t be my last.

I have two lavender plants in my small flower garden which faces west and receives afternoon sun. Nothing fancy nor elaborate. The plants are only two years old. The variety is called Munstead and it has survived two bitter cold Michigan winters.  I have tried English lavender, but I live too far north for it to do well.
